Retirement has given me the opportunity to take up long distance walking. Not content with completing several of Britain's trails I walked across Europe on the E4 European Long Distance Path,10,500 kilometres which I completed in sections. I wrote a book about my travels called "Six Pairs of Boots: Spain to Cyprus on the E4 Trail" by John Pucknell available from Amazon, other sites and bookshops. My latest book "Through Cloud and Sunshine: Galway to Nice on the E2 Trail" details my trip from Ireland to the south of France, following the GR5 in Europe. I am currently on a third traverse of the continent on the E3. Not sure if my knee will allow me to complete it..
